Good news for all Citavi users: We were able to successfully ensure with the provider that the transition to the new license at the end of 2022 can take place without interruptions.
In order to continue using Citavi, all users need to confirm once that they are still a member of the university:
How to renew your Citavi license
- Log in to your Citavi account linked to the campus license at https://citaviweb.citavi.com/.
- Under "Continue with University" and My University: "Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn" you can log in with your University ID.
- Switch to your profile by clicking on your picture in the upper right corner (between "Switch language" and "Help").
- Go to "Licenses" in the navigation on the left side.
- In the middle of the bottom of the screen, select "New License" and then "Get your site license".
- Search for and select "Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn".
Your license has now been successfully extended.

- You could experience longer loading times here before you are redirected back to your profile. If you continue to see a white screen, reload the page.
- You can check the new term by selecting "Citavi Desktop & Web Bundle" under "Licenses" in your profile. The correct date is 03/31/2023.
- After step 5, it may be necessary to log in to Shibboleth if this has not already been done previously in the browser session.
License until the end of 2024 available soon
The current license extension is a transitional license until the end of March 2023. As soon as the license is available until the end of 2024, we will inform you on our websites and social media channels.
