Please note the following opening and closing times for the Bonn University and State Library (USL) over Christmas and the New Year:
The USL (Main Library and MNL Branch Library) will be closed on the following days:
- December 24 to 26, 2023
- December 31, 2023 and January 1, 2024
It will be open as follows between Christmas and New Year:
- December 27 to 30, 2023: Noon to 6 pm
You will be able to use our workspaces and pick up and return books during this period.
The following services will be unavailable or subject to restrictions from December 24, 2023 through January 1, 2024:
- The information desk will not be staffed. No emails will be replied to between December 27 and 30, 2023.
- Orders from the external stacks and for inter-library loans will not be able to be processed.
- The Curtius reading room will be closed from December 23, 2023 to January 1, 2024. Items ordered from the stacks of old holdings will be available from January 3, 2024 onward.
- The Media Center in the MNL Branch Library will remain closed. For urgent matters, please email medienzentrummnl@ulb.uni-bonn.de.
- No new library cards can be requested, although you will still be able to renew existing ones. There will be a delay to processing requests during this period.
Standard opening and service times resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
