Acquisition of media is the joint responsibility of the Bonn University and State Library (central library of the University) and the institute and department libraries (run by the faculties).
We acquire media that is required for research, teaching and studying at the University of Bonn.
With only a few exceptions, the USL is in charge of licensing electronic media (e-books, e-journals, databases, etc.), acting as licensee in the name of the University of Bonn and handling the licensing process.
If you would like the USL to acquire a specific periodical or database, please send your suggestion via email to your subject librarians, who will be pleased to assist you.
If you would like to suggest a book for acquisition, please use this form to do so, bearing in mind that items must cost more than €10.00 and must have been published within the last five years.
