New IOA Library in Brühler Straße 5 libraries of the Institute of Oriental and Asian Studies at new location.

Due to the renovation of the University’s main building, the following 5 libraries of the Institute of Oriental and Asian Studies (IOA) were moved:

  • Department of Indology
  • Department of Islamic Studies
  • Department of Japanese and Korean Studies
  • Department of Mongolian and Tibetan Studies
  • Department of Sinology

These branch libraries can now be found at Brühler Straße 7.

Until now, only a small part of the collection has been moved to the new location. So far, the remaining books will have to be ordered by filling out an order slip.
The required books will then be provided at the new location Brühler Str.

Due to the required move, the previously separate holdings are brought together as a common collection. Furthermore, more suitable opening hours can be offered.

The move of the remaining books from the former location to Brühler Straße is planned to take place in two stages.

The next moving phase will be from 18 September to 6 October 2017.

Continuously updated information regarding the move and the libraries of the IOA can be found on the website of the IOA’s Departmental libraries (in German).
