In August 2022, we began working in the background to prepare for the switch to the new Alma cloud-based library management system and the relaunch of the bonnus search portal.
Since then, we have reviewed and revised all the current workflows and processes for the Bonn University and State Library (USL) and the faculty libraries.
The new systems are set to go live in mid-August.
Restrictions for our users
You will notice a few restrictions and changes to central library services in the coming months as we transition from the old to the new system.
We have already had to restrict the use of ZB MED’s Bonn-based holdings in the MNL Branch Library for organizational reasons.
Your feedback on the new search portal
We will be releasing an alpha version of our new bonnus search portal in the week commencing May 8 to give you an opportunity for a first look at and trial of its search features.
